Huntersville, NC (November 20, 2025) – A deadly crash shut down most of the outer loop of Interstate 485 on Wednesday afternoon, November 19, near Harris Boulevard in Huntersville. The collision occurred around 2:43 PM, according to Drive NC.
Huntersville Fire Department officials said four of the five lanes were closed as emergency crews worked to clear the scene. Firefighters urged drivers to use alternate routes during the evening commute due to heavy delays. MEDIC confirmed that one person died in the crash. The victim’s identity has not been released.
