Clover, SC (August 14, 2025) – One person was killed Tuesday evening, August 12, in a four-vehicle crash at SC Hwy 557 and Bethel Church Rd, about four miles east of Clover.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, a 2000 Chevy sedan was stopped to turn onto Bethel Church Rd when a 2007 Ford SUV struck it from behind. The impact pushed the Chevy into the path of an oncoming 2018 Honda sedan. The Ford driver swerved off the road to avoid further impact and was not injured.
The Chevy driver, 66-year-old Torban Walker, died at the scene. The driver of an Infiniti SUV was transported to a local hospital for treatment. No additional updates on their condition have been released.
